Kid Cudi Announces Summer Release for Rock Album, “Maniac” Film Release Info

Kid Cudi is BACK on twitter officially under the name @wizardcud and it looks like he is making use of it the same way Kanye is, announcing valuable info to his fans.

First and foremost, he says he is pushing for a Summer release of his rock album under the alias of Wizard – which is a duo of Cudi and his producer Dot da Genius. He says there will be absolutely no rapping on the album (as of now) and he is playing the guitar on the songs.

Secondly, people have been waiting for the release of his Cudi’s “Maniac” music video/film ever since they saw this preview photo. Cudi says the film will be released “later this year” because he needs to get the musical scoring just right. Looks like he’s also copying his buddy Kanye’s “Runaway” idea.

I think it’s strange Cudi sort of  fell off the planet promoting Man on the Moon II. So many songs had great potential for visuals, etc. Not personally interested in his rock album, but obviously I’m curious enough to take a listen and give it a chance when material starts dropping for it.

Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs
