Method Man shocked the world with his recent Sour Patch Kids music video/commercial, “World Gone Sour.” Sure, die hard Wu fans had a lot to say but honestly the song is pretty good. I was recently blessed the opportunity to interview Mef about his upcoming projects. To my suprise, he named Tyler, the Creator as one of the producers who he really wants to work with. He doesn’t agree with the Odd Future x Wu-Tang comparisons but is a fan of the group’s work, especially Tyler’s.

“I don’t see any similarities, as far as the movement, maybe. but I don’t see any similarities because some of the shit they talk about,” said the Staten Island native. “The shit we use to talk about was 5% Nation of Islam, Gods and Earth…you know ‘block shit.’ Let them do them and I enjoy them. I’m not going to lie. And yes I do know more than just one song that they’ve done. Some of these people on Youtube and shit, they’re fucking incredible with their comments.” (via VIBE)

After two men were arrested in the murder case of DJ Megatron, a few details over the robbery gone wrong are uncovered. New York Daily News reported that on Thursday, April 7, prosecutors unraveled that the BET host was stalked by 21-year-old William Williams and 20-year-old Richard Cromwell for a block before being gunned down.

Both William and Richard were arrested on charges of murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon last Wednesday, April 6. Identified by witnesses and surveillance footage from the scene before and after the incident, the pair were held without bail and appeared in Staten Island Criminal Court the next day.

Words are, both suspects have confessed to the crime to prosecuting officials. William admitted he fired the fatal shot during a scuffle, while Richard reportedly was the one who stole the watch Megatron was wearing. During the 10-minute hearing on Thursday, however, the two men pleaded not guilty. They are due back in court on April 19.

After the hearing, Williams’ lawyer Mario Gallucci said, “It’s an absolute tragedy that Mr. McGriff [Megatron's real name], a rising star here from Staten Island, had his life ended so tragically. I’ve just been retained by the family early this morning.” He added, “We already have an investigator out doing our own investigation, so at this early point I would just urge the public not to rush to judgment.”

DJ Megatron, whose real name is Corey McGriff, was shot and killed in the early hours of Sunday morning, March 27 near his home on Staten Island in New York City. He was pronounced dead at the scene with a single gunshot wound to the left side of his ribcage on Osgood Avenue in the Clifton section.

Police are investigating a shooting on Staten Island that left a popular DJ dead.
The New York City Police Department says Corey McGriff, 32, also known as “DJ Megatron,” was shot in his stomach around 2 a.m. on Osgood Avenue in Clifton.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made in the case.

McGriff was a DJ on radio station “Hot 97″ and also appeared on the popular BET show “106 and Park and Cam’ron’s “Killer Season”"

Tila Tequila wasn’t the only bloody victim of flying debris at the Gathering of the Juggalos over the weekend — Method Man was also attacked with a dangerous projectile … and TMZ has obtained the photo of his bloody face.

According to an eyewitness, Method Man and Redman were performing at the festival Sunday night when someone in the audience threw what looked like “a full beer can” at MM’s face — resulting in a pretty nasty eye wound.

In our video, shot moments after the incident, Redman throws expletives at the crowd before telling Method, “Your face is cut, go take care of that.”

But MM refuses to stop the show — bloody eye and all — and yells out, “Start the music we’re continuing the show, let’s f**k these motherf**kers up.”

So far, no word from the people behind the concert.

Once again performing his infamous “A.F.R.I.C.A”. As usual the crowd, and ladies were definitely satisfied. The usual head spinner attracted attention as soon as he arrived..leaving mouths open as they studied his swag then topped it off with Soft, Meaningful lyrics of A.F.R.I.C.A. leaving mostly all shocked to hear him say “Im from Liberia”.
