A promoter from the United States claims that he was kidnapped in Angola, Africa after a failed New Year’s Eve show that was supposed to feature Nas.

TMZ.com reports that a promoter named Patrick Allocco from AllGood Entertainment, was working for a local concert promoter in Angola named Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel, who paid $315,000 for an appearance by Nas and Jemiah Jai.

Nas and Jemiah Jai allegedly missed their flights to Angola, resulting in a dispute between Allocco and Miguel, who allegedly hired local thugs to kidnap the man and his son at gunpoint.   They were held and interrogated for over seven hours, until the U.S. Embassy intervened in the situation.   “The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated,” Allocco said in a statement.

Allocco and Miguel are currently in Angola in a hotel room, attempting to resolve the dispute.

“I would riot,” said Jeezy in an interview with XXLMag.com, “because we gotta get the money out of Washington. This is real. When you got middle class people taking a stance—because we always took a stance by the way, we always stood in the middle of our projects, our ghetto, and took our stance and our stance was hustling, robbing, what have you, to survive. So now they don’t have those same options, so they gotta go march.”

Every once in a while, stories start circulating that First Lady Michelle Obama is pregnant with her third child. This time around, a site called Weekly World News started the story, which then spread through social media sites like wildfire. Luckily, Gossip Cop  caught on to the fake story and checked into it. Weekly World News said, “The White House announced that Michelle Obama is pregnant with the couple’s third child.” They added that the First Lady was still in her first trimester, and that President Obama was “ecstatic.” The baby was said to be due in May 2012.

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura is so upset by the dismissal of his airport security lawsuit that he threatened Friday to apply for dual citizenship so he can spend more time in his beloved Mexico – or run for president of what he labeled “the Fascist States of America.”

Ventura sued the federal government in January, alleging that airport scans and pat-downs amounted to unreasonable search and seizure. A district judge in St. Paul threw out his lawsuit Thursday, ruling it should have been filed in a Circuit Court of Appeals.

Outside the federal courthouse in St. Paul, with a crew from his “Conspiracy Theory” cable TV show filming, Ventura said he hadn’t decided whether to continue pressing his lawsuit. He said he wanted to make his case before a jury not a panel of judges.

Ventura has said a titanium hip implanted in him in 2008 sets off metal detectors and that agents previously used hand-held wands to scan his body. He said he was subjected to a body pat-down after an airport metal detector went off last November. Ventura said he hasn’t flown since and won’t fly commercially again.

Ventura, a political independent who served one term as governor, teased that he might have to run for president to change the policy and a court system he regards as broken. Moments later, he vowed to apply for Mexican citizenship so he can live there more months of the year.

The former Navy SEAL said he had lost his patriotism.

“I will never stand for a national anthem again. I will turn my back and I will raise a fist,” he said.

The ‘Someone Like You’ singer became a worldwide trending topic with the hashtag last night as it was revealed last week that Adele was set to have throat surgery.

Her spokesperson told Entertainmentwise:“We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord. All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false.”

Adele was forced to cancel her US tour dates earlier this month and her upcoming UK shows were also scrapped as she recovers from her illness.

Writing on her official website recently, the 23-year-old wrote: “I’m heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again I’m experiencing problems with my voice.”

Last week, a spokesperson stated that Adele will have to have an operation to help her health issues. “Adele will be undergoing throat surgery to alleviate problems,” they stated.

Gay men and lesbians in the military no longer have to hide who they are, and the service members who were discharged under this policy can re-enlist.

This is one of the administration’s signature achievements. Countless Americans fought hard to end this law over the course of nearly two decades, and President Obama is proud to have signed the repeal.

But today’s news isn’t just a policy promise kept — it’s a personal promise kept to the thousands of people who needed and deserved this change.

I want to share a video the campaign put together about some of the people affected by this law: four stories from men and women who served in the military during “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”

Attorney Michael Worthy says his client Alexis Simpson was alone in that room against multiple people during the incident that claimed the life of  Dominique Frazier.

Frazier was stabbed to death Thursday night inside her on-campus dorm, police said.

Her roommate, Simpson, is accused of attacking her after the two argued over music played from an iPod.

In court Monday an uncle, George Simpson, called the incident a “hiccup” in the life of a good girl.

A prosecutor says Simpson chose to end a life, adding she had retreated to her room and safety yet chose to go toward the victim with a knife.

Simpson will remain locked up on no bond status. She has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Oct 14.

She turned herself in to Prince George’s County Police several hours after the incident.

“I didn’t mean to do it,” Simpson replied after the stabbing, according to charging documents. “You all don’t know what I’ve been thru (sic). You all jumped me.”

On Sunday, Frazier’s family and friends remembered her on what would have been her 19th birthday.

A couple of things,  there no way McKelvey should have brought a taser to a game and how did security allow this to happen on 9/11 of all days?

That doesn’t make me feel comfortable about my safety at major sporting events.

With that being said the Marine was TOTALLY IN THE WRONG. It was McKelvey’s right not to stand or take off his hat during the National Anthem. It maybe in poor taste, but that is no reason to make a threat which is what the Marine did.  There is no law saying you have to stand during the National Anthem.  Furthermore there are laws to protect people from bully threats.

If the Marine and Jets fans started to attack Mr. McKelvey he is within his rights to defend himself even if it was with an illegal weapon.

My question is why wasn’t the Marine or the other Jets fans not arrested as well, since they were the instigators?

Count Master P among the many rappers facing legal and financial woes, as the man once reported as being worth $600 million is being sued for $240,000 and pushed into bankruptcy court.

Legal documents obtained by TMZ indicate that a group of people that worked for P on his 2003 movie Uncle Pwere never paid. What’s more, several members of the crew sued the rapper in 2005 and won, but he allegedly never paid up.

The class has taken its case to U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles, with the goal to push P, real name Percy Miller, into bankruptcy so that an independent trustee will manage his assets

Florida A&M basketball player Shannon Washington died early Sunday morning after suffering a knife wound to her neck, the school announced.

Starquineshia Palmer, 20, who was visiting Washington for the weekend, was detained and charged with first-degree murk, police reported.
